From college, to the community…

We wanted to send out a huge THANK YOU to all of our employment partners who helped our students this past year, collaborating with us to offer work experience placements, and the opportunity for EMA students to take what they’ve learned here at college in our classrooms, shops, cafés, and gardens, out into the local communities.

These partnerships are so incredibly valuable in how they help our young people build confidence, develop their skills, and find their way into adulthood and independence. Every student matters, and whether it’s been for a few hours, or a few months, it is the commitment from these local employers to offer the placements that is allowing the students to achieve in brilliant ways, hitting their goals, with some even moving into paid employment, it’s been wonderful to see.

We look forward to the next year of building on these relationships with our employment partners, we couldn’t do it without you!
If you’re a local businesses owner who might be interested in working with us, please do get in touch. We’d love to hear from you, and so would our students. Whether it’s retail, animal care, hospitality, factory, or public attractions, the programme can benefit our students, and your own teams as they experience working with people with SEND.
