The Dovecote Café is looking for a new Front of House Assistant to join our vibrant, friendly, and hard-working team! The Dovecote has become a popular stop for locals and Dorset explorers, and as part of The Walled Garden and Employ My Ability, we are a unique space that welcomes customers 7 days a week, while also allowing EMA students to complete their studies and gain valuable experience. Café work can be busy, but we have no split shifts, no evening work, and we’re closed over Christmas and New Year. Job Role:Café Front of House Assistant

Location:Dovecote Café, The Walled Garden, Moreton

Remuneration & Rewards Package

  • From £ 9.90/ hour
  • 32 days annual holiday (inclusive of Bank Holidays) – pro-rata for part-time staff
  • Subsidised Private Healthcare (AXA)

Working Days/Hours:

Full Time – 5 days / 40 hours per week over 7 days

*No evenings

*No split shifts

*Closed over Christmas & New Year

Type of Contract:

Full Time

Notice Period: after probation period One Month

Main purpose of job role:We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our friendly café team here at the Dovecote café in the beautiful Walled Gardens of Moreton. Some experience is preferable but not essential. Full training will be given.

Key tasks:

  • Operating the till
  • Serving customers in a pleasant and courteous manner
  • Undertaking the preparation of the food and beverages served in the café
  • Working with Employ My Ability students and service users
  • Clearing & Pot washing
  • Ensuring that the café environment is pleasant and welcoming
  • Ensuring the café is clean and tidy at all times
