“Welcome to a new year at EMA! I hope everyone had a brilliant summer break.
We are welcoming back students returning for another year with us, and of course, saying hello to the many new students joining EMA for their first term. Time will be spent these next couple of days getting to know your tutors and your new timetables, and we look forward to seeing everything you all achieve this year.
We’re excited to get going, and with the various developments at both our campuses, it feels like a huge step forward in our journey as we start the 2025/26 term.
At Moreton, we have adapted our main classroom area to accommodate accessibility for our students.
At Gillingham, we have added a multi-use games area, preparation for adulthood training suite, and new rooms with various uses for staff and students (with more developments taking place in the coming months across the site).
We will be spotlighting these new additions and how they’re being utilised in more detail soon!
We also wanted to formally welcome our two new Deputy Heads of Education, Heather Helm, based at Moreton and Lisa-Marie Mackenzie, based at Gillingham. These two new members of staff will be key in supporting myself and our entire education team in delivering the best experience for our students at EMA.
We look forward to sharing more insight to our campuses and the successes of our students over the course of this year. I’m extremely proud of the hard work that’s been done behind the scenes as we prep for the new term, and I wish everyone the best as we kick things off. Thank you!” – James Dunham, Head of Education
