Some of you may know we recently launched brand new hospitality courses in collaboration with the CTH – Confederation of Tourism and Hospitality, and part of this new offering included the installation of a new kitchen learning environment at our Moreton campus, and we have a new video which allows you to see the students and the new kitchen in action.
This improved and much larger space added new worktops, ovens, hobs, video display, and an entire range of essential kitchen equipment that allows our students to develop their skills using industry tools as they complete their courses, and means that our qualifications can be delivered in the best possible way for those who attend.
This video gives a little insight into the new space, and some overview on the new opportunities we have at EMA for young people with SEND who might have an interest in hospitality. The new kitchen continues to be a place where students are smiling, and learning more skills each week, and we’re all so pleased with the new space.
The CTH courses are as follows:
- Level 1 Award in Basic Cookery Skills
- Level 2 Certificate in Culinary Skills
- Level 3 Certificate in Professional Cookery Level 2 Award in Food Safety & Hygiene
- Level 2 Award in Barista Skills
- Level 2 (CPD) in Hospitality Housekeeping
““We are very much looking forward to welcoming EMA as a CTH Approved Teaching Centre, so that they can teach our Ofqual-regulated Hospitality qualifications to their students. Our strong belief is that every single learner is unique and each will have useful skills and qualities that really lend themselves to working successfully in the hospitality sector.” – Steve Beckworth, Confederation of Tourism and Hospitality
