Yesterday, EMA was pleased to welcome Lloyd Hatton MP for South Dorset, for a guided tour of our Moreton campus at The Walled Garden. The visit offered Mr Hatton a first-hand look at the facilities where our students study and train here in Dorset.
He toured our animal park, gardens, café, classrooms, and state-of-the-art training kitchen, where he met Hospitality Tutor Claire, and her students. He also sat down with EMA’s Head of Education James Dunham, Head of EMA Social Care Craig Hutton, Group Compliance and Risk Manager David Fletcher, and Managing Director Steve White to discuss our recent developments and how we’re planning for the future to continue delivering the best possible opportunities for young people and adults with SEND in and around Dorset.

“It’s incredible to see everything on site, and how all the different areas have been repurposed for the students. Even living locally, I wasn’t aware how much was happening here! It’s been brilliant.” said Mr Hatton.
James Dunham spoke on the visit – “It was great to show Lloyd around our Moreton campus and introduce him to some of our students – particularly seeing them in action in the kitchen. We were pleased to share EMA’s successes over the years and also have an open conversation about some of the challenges we’re currently facing.
Welcoming individuals such as our local MP is an important opportunity for us to showcase the hard work of our staff in supporting those who attend EMA, and to share our vision for how we’re working to ensure those opportunities continue to grow and positively impact the Dorset community. We look forward to welcoming him back in the future for lunch served by our students!”
