Life after EMA – An update from Ruth!

2615Former EMA student Ruth graduated back in July, and over the past six months has been making an impact in her voluntary role at The Engine Room Café at Poundbury Garden Centre (The Gardens Group), working two days a week and helping the café prepare for its busiest time of year—Christmas! 1f384

1f37dPreviously honing her skills at another café in Poundbury, and during her time at EMA completing work experience in the Dovecote at The Walled Garden, Ruth has shown determination, commitment, and has built a solid foundation for success.
1f5e3Since joining The Engine Room, her confidence has grown, earning praise from her manager, Kelly, who says Ruth is “always willing to help out and a valuable member of the team”
1f91dSupported by Pluss, Ruth has taken part in workplace compliance training to ensure safe practice, and has also taken huge strides toward independence as Pluss have now taken a back seat, letting her thrive on her own terms.
