Since September 2024, we have been offering brand new hospitality qualifications here at Employ My Ability endorsed by the Confederation of Tourism and Hospitality.
The courses are as follows:
- Level 1 Award in Basic Cookery Skills
- Level 2 Certificate in Culinary Skills
- Level 3 Certificate in Professional Cookery Level 2 Award in Food Safety & Hygiene
- Level 2 Award in Barista Skills
- Level 2 (CPD) in Hospitality Housekeeping
We are very excited for this new development at EMA as we look to continue offering the best possible opportunities for the young people who attend either in Moreton near Dorchester, or Gillingham North Dorset. With both classroom and real world hospitality settings, our unique environments are proven to help build confidence, skills, and support students on the journey to independence and a career.

The new teaching kitchen is going to give the students the most incredible opportunity to learn to cook within a purpose built facility and gain all the skills they need to gain independence as well as achieving a recognised culinary qualification. This combined with the Barista and Housekeeping qualifications the students can graduate from EMA with an impressive portfolio of skills.
The CTH endorsement is an internationally recognised stamp of quality for these areas of learning and I am delighted to be working with them again. I can’t wait to get started!”
