Our annual collaboration with Shaftesbury in Bloom is underway! Gillingham students and attendees from EMA Social Care day opportunities have begun filling planters with a vibrant array of flowers. Once complete, these planters will be placed around the community for everyone to enjoy, and to support Shaftesbury’s entry into Britain in Bloom (part of the RHS).
After winning awards two years in a row, everyone is putting in an amazing effort once again, and we’re excited to hand the plants over for 2025!
Community projects like Shaftesbury in Bloom promote teamwork, communication, planning and execution, while also boosting the confidence of everyone involved. There’s a real sense of pride in seeing what’s been built and sharing the enthusiasm, creativity and dedication of our students and adult social care service users with the wider community.
We’ll check back in once the project is complete. Fingers crossed for another award-winning year! 🌼🏆
