Matrix Accreditation
EMA are delighted to announce that we have been accredited to the Matrix Standard by The Growth Company (https://www.growthco.uk/), who deliver external accreditation on behalf of the Department for Education (DfE).
The Matrix Standard (https://matrixstandard.com/) is the DfE’s standard for ensuring the quality of the delivery of high-quality information, advice and guidance, and is supported by the DfE as the quality framework for accrediting these areas within an education setting that is delivering services on behalf of the Education Skills Funding Agency; EMA receives ESFA funding.
The assessment process consisted of a two-day visit from an assessor to our Moreton Campus, during her time with us she reviewed our Careers Education Information, Advice & Guidance (CEIAG) strategy, programme and policy, as well as conducting numerous interviews with our students, parents, staff and external partners, all with the focus of assessing how well CEIAG is embedded across everything we do.
Commenting on the recent accreditation, EMA’s Group Education & Operations Director, Jacqui Church said:
“This is an important milestone in EMA’s development as it independently verifies some of the great work we are delivering to our students and is also a recognisable standard of achievement that outside organisations can identify. The Matrix is an outcome-based standard, which means that our assessor was not only looking at the processes we use to support the delivery of information, advice and guidance, but also the results and outcomes that we have achieved for our young people. It has been a really positive experience for us, and we value the recommendations that accompany our accreditation which will be used to further improve the service we provide our young people to help them reach their full potential.”
